The Psychic View – A Mother’s Last Gift?

A recent extraordinary incident captured world-wide attention. A car went over a bridge near a small town in Utah. The accident wasn’t discovered until twelve hours had passed. Rescue workers belatedly arrived to find the car upside-down and half-submerged in freezing water. Then, an astonishing thing happened. All four men clearly heard a voice calling ‘Save me! Save us!’…coming from within the vehicle.
Galvanized into action, they plunged into the frigid river and managed to turn the car on its side. They then spotted the driver; a young woman who had obviously perished. But there was a second passenger…a baby strapped to her car seat, hanging upside down, the top of her head inches from the icy waters.
Finding her unconscious and barely breathing, one rescuer cut her loose, handing her to a second man who raced her to the ambulance. The child was completely unresponsive, but much later, in the hospital, she was revived. Within a few days, the eighteen-month-old, having made a complete recovery, returned home with her very grateful father.
When time for reflection arrived, the rescue team was faced with an unsettling conundrum: precisely WHO had made that desperate cry from inside the car? The driver had died on impact. The tiny child was unconscious and didn’t yet know how to talk beyond a few random words. Those one the scene were completely perplexed.
Moreover, the water had been so frigid the men later required treatment for hypothermia. How could the toddler survive those conditions for over twelve hours? One firefighter confessed to being sleepless for two nights following the incident, trying to fathom the truth behind the seemingly baffling affair.
Clearly, the word ‘miracle’ comes to mind, though the term is often bandied about too freely. As for me, it is not inconceivable the spirit of the child’s departed mother would do everything within her power to save her little girl, staying with her until she was either rescued, or they were reunited on the ‘other side.’
Making her voice heard would have been an extraordinary act, yet hardly unprecedented. Those studying the paranormal regularly capture ‘disembodied voices’ at sites reported to be haunted.
Clearly, not all ‘ghost stories’ require the backdrop of an old castle or the sound of rattling chains. During my psychic readings, I frequently communicate with those on the ‘other side’ whose main concern continues to be the welfare of loved ones left behind. Of course, many believe there are ‘angels’ who intervene to save the innocent in hazardous times. There have been countless reports of such episodes throughout the centuries. At the least, the concept offers food for thought, though we are left to wonder why some are deemed worthy of help while others are abandoned to their fate.
The news coverage about the latest ‘miracle child’ duly reported the eerie cries for help, while refraining from drawing any conclusions, remaining aloof from the ticklish if tantalizing topic. Nevertheless, to contemplate this intriguing happening, along with its potential ramifications, is worthy of our consideration. And perhaps the most important lesson is to be humble enough to accept there are always things beyond what we know…or believe we know.
