West Seattle Hi-Yu is celebrating the 82nd Anniversary this year as the West Seattle Hi-Yu community summer festival. The All Volunteer non profit organization depends on memberships and sponsorships to fund the programs and scholarships offered to students.

Please join and pass on the attached 2016 West Seattle Hi-Yu Membership Application, to individuals, businesses, corporations and service clubs.

We are currently seeking donations of goods or services for the annual West Seattle Hi-Yu spring tea and auction on May 22, 2016 at The Hall at Fauntleroy from noon to 3:30 pm. Tickets are $25.00 each.

This event is a beautiful and fun way for mothers and daughters to enjoy a time together and would make a wonderful Mother's day gift for the women in your life. Of course men are invited to attend also. Funds raised help to support the West Seattle Hi-Yu scholarship program, the traveling parade float and the general operating budget for the year.

Join Hi-Yu, Join the Fun! The Award Winning West Seattle Hi-Yu traveling parade float is scheduled to appear in many parades in Western Washington this spring and summer.

The Hi-Yu traveling parade float is the Only outreach program that West Seattle has to let people know what a wonderful community we have on this peninsula across the bay from Seattle, and invites others to come and visit our many parks, beaches, businesses and restaurants.

Help continue the tradition of the West Seattle Hi-Yu summer festival, providing scholarships and community service opportunities for students living in West Seattle.

Applications for West Seattle Hi-Yu Teen Ambassador for students aged 13-16 living in West Seattle zip codes 98106-98146 and West Seattle Hi-Yu Senior Court for students aged 17-22 Open to both male and female students.
Deadline to apply is March 31st.

Deadline for the scholarship program has been extended to March 31st with orientation for parents and students on March 30th. at 7 pm at the Admiral Congregational Church 4320 SW Hill Street (Three blocks North of Admiral Way on California Ave SW)

The next Hi-Yu meeting is on Monday April 4th. at the Admiral Congregational Church at 7 pm.
