High schools
Fastpitch softball
West Seattle opens the Sea-King District 2 girls fastpitch softball tournament Tuesday with a 6 p.m. game at the Southeast Athletic Complex located near Rainier Beach High School.
Tuesday's winner advances to play at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Southwest Athletic Complex near Chief Sealth, while the loser plays at the same time at the Southeast Athletic Complex.
Placement games are at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday at the SWAC with the championship scheduled for 7 p.m. on the same diamond.
Meanwhile, Seattle Christian visits Kennedy Catholic at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday with Kennedy dropping in on Bellarmine at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Kennedy opens West Central District tournament play at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sprinker Recreation Center in Spanaway, with Highline and Tyee playing 12 p.m. games there and Evergreen opening against Sequim at 2 p.m.
The action continues Friday evening and Saturday at Sprinker.
Boys soccer
Mount Rainier plays a state tournament game at Pasco on Tuesday or Wednesday, with the winner playing in the state quarterfinals Friday or Saturday. The loser is done for the year.
Track and field
The Southwest Athletic Complex near Chief Sealth will be the site of the Sea-King District track and field meet on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
French Field in Kent hosts the 4A West Central District meet Thursday through Saturday with the 1B Tri-District meet running the same days at King's High School.
Sunset Chevrolet Stadium in Sumner is putting on the 3A West Central District meet Friday and Saturday with the 2A the same days at Bremerton.
Girls tennis
West Central District tournaments will run Friday and Saturday, with the 4A played at the Boeing Tennis Center in Kent, the 3A at the Sprinker Recreation Center in Spanaway and the 2A at the Kitsap Tennis Center.

Seattle hosts Colorado for a 7 p.m. match at CenturyLink Field on Saturday that can be seen on JOEtv.
Mariners
Seattle is in Baltimore for 4:05 p.m. action against the Orioles at Camden Yards on Tuesday and Wednesday and for a 9:35 a.m. game Thursday.
All Mariners games can be seen on ROOT Sports cable television.
Rainiers
Tacoma entertains Omaha at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday at Cheney Stadium, then takes Wednesday off before the Iowa Cubs come to town for a rare appearance at 7:05 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 5:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:35 p.m. Sunday.
The Rainiers go on the road to Round Rock for 5:05 p.m. contests Monday and Tuesday.
Storm
Seattle visits Phoenix for 7 p.m. WNBA action Friday and comes home to the KeyArena to play Minnesota at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Reign
Seattle's women's soccer team hosts Chicago for 4 p.m. action at Seattle Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
Emerald Downs
The Auburn horse racing track hosts action at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
