PacWest beats National for 9-10 title

Look out Clarkston, here we come.
The PacWest age 10-11 Little League all-star baseball team is bound for the city on the far eastern border of the state of Washington along the Snake River across from Lewiston, Idaho as the District 7 champions after defeating South Highline National by a 16-8 score Saturday, July 2.
PacWest opens state play on Asotin Field No. 1 in Clarkston at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23 against Marysville.
PacWest posted a 15-1 win over West Seattle to open the District 7 tournament Saturday, June 25 before beating Southwest of White Center, 21-1, the next day and downing South Highline National, 7-5, in the winners bracket final Wednesday, June 29.
National joined PacWest in the championship after coming from behind to beat West Seattle, 5-4, in the Friday, July 1 losers bracket final. But National needed to defeat PacWest twice to take the title and fell in the provisional championship Saturday, July 2.
National was a 12-1 winner over Seattle in its tournament opener before beating Renton, 10-6, and then meeting PacWest in the winners final and losing.
In other tournament games, Renton defeated South Highline American, 17-0, and American lost to Seattle, 12-2.
West Seattle ousted Renton, 19-15, and Seattle defeated Southwest, 14-5, before West Seattle beat Seattle, 18-5, to reach the losers bracket final and lose to National.
The championship PacWest team is managed by Luke Hagler, who is assisted by coaches Brian Bernard and Dale Chilson.
Players are Wybrand Barron, Brandon Bernard, Ian Chilson, Diego Cigarroa, Andy Dimitrov, Kaleb Fitzpatrick, Jack Gorney, Micah Hagler, Zach Hatcher, Sam Hostetter, Cameron Keller, Damico Parker, Lamont Richardson and Andrej Stacy.
Second place National was managed by Chad Hollabaugh, who was assisted by coaches Mead Fenton and Nick Perovich.
Players were Sean Ellison, Cole Fenton, Mason Hayes, Coleman Hollabaugh, Ethan Hougham, Tanner Jackson, Andy Perovich, Ian Ritter, Fernando Sanchez, Cadyn Sava, Luke Vlases and Austin Wade.
Southwest was managed by Rodrigo Barron, who was assisted by coaches Michael Downes and Casey Sweeney.
Players were Tyshaun Aigbe, Jaden Barron, Gavin Brown, Ashyol Cotton, Joshua Davis, Grayson Leui-Steele, Kevin Martinez, JoJo Mautia, Cameron Nelson, J'Lonnie Pugh-Hayes, Konnor Stanley and Josiah Westerlund.
American was managed by Maynard Dumakilewe, who was assisted by coaches Joe Baker and Joel Remos.
Players were Kort Baker, Kyle Brown, Hayden Burnett, Jesus Cano, Mahi Dumakilewe, Tai Dumakilewe, CJ George, Misi Moi. Caelen Ramos, Riley Remos, Nate Soto and Andrew Wiebe.
Majors
National and PacWest both went two and out in the Majors age 10-12 tournament played in West Seattle.
National took a 12-2 loss to West Seattle to open and PacWest lost to Seattle, 10-0.
National was then edged by Seattle, 13-12, and PacWest bowed out with a 12-7 loss to Rainier District.
PacWest was managed by Kevin Bell, who was assisted by coaches Mark Peterson and Mike Poe.
Players were Jayden Baker, Aidan Bell, Jakori Buchanan, Alex Cropley, Kobe Enciso, Leo Girard-Hamilton, Caleb Horejsi, Quincy King, Vince Martinez, Danny Michaud, Mike Poe and Jaden Slagle.
National was managed by Clint Adams, who was assisted by coaches Chad Allred and Chad Parker.
Players were Simon Adams, Elijah Allred, Cole Clayton, Saverio DeSimone, Jake Gwinn, Peter Hollabaugh, Evan Humphries, Andrew Kubik, Tate Parker, Mason Quijano, Kaden Smith and Jack Sun
