Ishikawa raises average
Federal Way High School graduate Travis Ishikawa -- who played four games at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma against the Rainiers recently -- has raised his batting average to .269 (52-for-193) and is batting third for the Sacramento Rivercats of the San Francisco Giants organization.
Ishikawa has 10 home runs and 10 doubles and has racked up 41 RBI with 25 runs scored.
Kela 3-1 for Texas Rangers
Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela now has a 3-1 record for the Texas Rangers and since coming back from surgery has lowered his earned run average to 6.11. He has thrown 17.2 innings total in 19 games this year and has 25 strikeouts with seven walks.
Barnette drops ERA to 1.93
Thomas Jefferson graduate Tony Barnette has lowered his ERA to 1.93 as another member of the Texas Rangers bullpen.
Barnette has a 6-3 record and has thrown 51.1 innings over 44 games, striking out 37 and walking 13.
Conger now hitting .228
Federal Way native Hank Conger is now hitting .228 (13-for-57) since being sent down to the Durham Bulls of the Tampa Bay Rays organization.
Conger has three doubles, one triple and three home runs with eight RBI and five runs scored.
Brett on Durham DL
Highline graduate Ryan Brett is still on the disabled list for the Durham Bulls of the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Brett plays second base when healthy.
