SHORELINE--South Highline National's stay at state was stopped short by South Snohomish by a 6-1 score Monday.
National finished the Junior Little League age 13-14 all-star baseball tournament being held at Shorewood High School in Shoreline with a 1-2 record.
South Highline opened with a 16-9 victory over Glenwood on Saturday before getting knocked into the loser's bracket by host Shoreline on Sunday, 12-7.
National came into the tournament as the District 7 champions.
South Highline was managed by Todd Kephart, who was assisted by coaches Nathan Cooke and Josh Quijano.
Players were Dillon Charles, Ethan Cooke, Greger Covich, Zach Cunningham, Tyler Kephart, Nate Meyer, Tony Perovich, Preston Quijano, Jabari Ramos, Justin Stetson, Parker Stonesifer and Tristen Trujillo.
The National league president is Ryan Laurencio.
