The Washington State Food Truck Association has partnered with South Seattle College to bring students new dining options from a variety of gourmet food trucks
In an effort to bring more vending opportunities to the ever-growing population of food trucks, the Washington State Food Truck Association has been working with Administrative Services to place mobile food on campus. One truck per week will come to the campus to offer more dining options.
The new mobile dining program will begin with Chicago West serving coffee, pastries and the tastes of Chicago on November 13th. Vendors who wish to participate must be licensed to vend in the City of Seattle and can sign up for Mondays through Thursdays from 10am to 1pm. Students can see which vendors will participate via the online schedule found here: https://www.bestfoodtrucks.com/lots/profile/840
Local food trucks offer a unique experience with a variety of bold and ever-changing menus and are most often operated by local small business owners passionate about sharing their culinary art with people in their community. Lori Johnson, the Director of the state food truck association said “I can see how these small and independent business owners would be inspiring to students looking into their own futures.”
Vendors can access the schedule on the Association’s website at: www.wafoodtrucks.org. For food vendors who wish to participate, you will need to provide: a copy of your King County Health food permit, a certificate of insurance and agree to the terms and conditions of the program.
