If you were the leader of a nation renowned for seafood where would you go in Seattle for lunch?
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe his wife Akie and their entire entourage came to Salty's on Alki on April 19 where he had the Seafood Platter as a starter and then the Ora King Salmon with risotto rainbow carrots, and asparagus as an entree.
The event was shrouded in secrecy though news did leak out due to the size of the motorcade, accompanied by Seattle Police that pulled up out in front of the restaurant. Following a few photos, Abe and staff headed back to their 747 and flew on to Japan.
