BHS students have been nominated for 6 National Student Production Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Nominees were selected from winners of the student regional awards (regional awards were presented at the Northwest Emmy Awards ceremony). Ballard students received 6 of the 9 national nominations from our Northwest Region (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska). 

The awards ceremony (hosted by Dancing with the Star's Tom Bergeron) will be live-streamed on Thursday, October 18 at noon. Watch at https://www.facebook.com/TheEmmys. 

Nominated films continue to receive awards and accolades by various festivals, and we're excited to now also share a link to Oso Strong, a powerful documentary about the most deadly landslide in our nation's history. Three people intimately involved--a resident, a photojournalist and a geologist--share their stories of resilience, community and hope.
