Bear Creek kept the pressure up into the second half. Just two minutes into the second half Bear Creek scored two quick goals, giving them the 4-0 lead. Seattle Lutheran did a better job in the second half with ball possession but Bear Creek was too much to handle. Seattle Lutheran goal keeper Jillian Smith did a great job, making several great saves. Bear Creek sophomore Britney Digenova received a red card halfway through the half and the team then had to continue with one less player the rest of the game. Seattle Lutheran took advantage or the uneven balance of players when Senior Ali Bigliardi scored a goal on a great shot from the left side giving them their first goal. With 9 minutes left Seattle Lutheran scored again when Ashley Shaw made a great pass to Ali Bigliardi to score her second goal. That would be it for Seattle Lutheran but Bear Creek wasn’t done yet. They scored two more goals at the end of the game to seal their victory 6-2.
Seattle Lutheran head coach Jeff Norton said after the game, “We didn’t play well, we had two key players that couldn’t play tonight so that puts other players in positions that they are not use to, then the chemistry gets off and that’s what happened tonight.” On Bear Creeks side head coach Brandon Gonzalez was pleased with how they played, “We tend to outshoot teams, that’s been our motto for the year, I’m glad we got 6 goals out of those many shots, so it was good that we controlled the game had a lot of shots and put some in the back of the net.”
