UPDATE 2:Relief effort for Teri Ensley gathers steam

Friday 3:30 p.m. update on fundraisers & Teri Ensley comments:
The West Seattle just posted a story on Kitty Harbor's Adopt-A-Thon this weekend which will, in part, benefit Teri Ensley and her Furry Faces Foundation in the wake of her losses due to her recent house fire.
"My neighbor, David, who works from home saw the fire and called 911," Ensley recalled. "So that made a huge difference. And Jared, the kitty that some saw in photos being resuscitated by the firefighter, is doing very well, at Lien Animal Clinic. Jared didn't eat at first but then really started chowing the next day. He is still a little freaked. They found him in the bathtub with his face to the drain so he could breath. He was smart enough to do that, and that saved his life.
"The firefighters were wonderful," she added. "I can't say enough about our firefighters, and the fire investigator, too. They were awesome and very sensitive to what was going on.
"Here's my life," she said with resignation and a bit of a grin. "I have new clean bras, and underwear and socks, thanks to my friends."
This update from AARF's Sara Riehl:
Hi Everyone! There will be a mini-pub crawl next Thursday 1/19 at 7pm at the Feedback Lounge & Beveridge Pub. The Feedback Lounge is hosting "Teri's House Party" and all money raised will go directly to Teri and the Beveridge Place Pub will be hosting "F4 - Furry Faces Fire Fund", with all proceeds going to Furry Faces. There will be silent auctions at both places and we need your help! Do you have any connections for gift certificates or great prizes? Please let us know ASAP by either posting on our facebook page, www.facebook,com/terisfirefund, email info@aarf.org, or email sarariehl@gmail.com. Your gift will help either Teri or Furry Faces regain what they lost in the fire. Thank you!
Spot Light Adoption: Bennie and Alex are best friends and would have to be adopted together. However Bennie cannot be put up for adoption until he gets his hypothyroid treatment, to correct his thyroid problem. F3 has to raise all of the money before they are able to schedule Bennie for his treatment, it will cost around $600-800 for treatment. He will need a nuclear thyroid treatment that will permanently correct his thyroid problem; this will allow Bennie to be able to be adopted out. If you would like to make a donation to Bennie’s treatment, please go to www.furryfaces.org/donation and make a note that you would like to donate to Bennie.
All of Teri’s personal cats and foster cats have been at Lien Animal Clinic since the fire, due to the smoke they were all exposed to their throats are all sore. They also have to be kept in a warm environment, around 70 degrees, for the next 3 weeks to minimize their chance of getting pneumonia. If you would like to make a donation for some of the vet bills please call Lien Animal Clinc at 206-932-1133 and tell them you are donating to Furry Faces Founation.

To support Teri Ensley a new Facebook page has been created:

A fire on Jan. 9 resulted in the death of one of Ensley's cats and the resuscitation of another and the launching of an assistance effort for the beloved Ensley.
According to Enajibi, two cats remain in the house but the 7 other foster cats have now been put in the care of Kitty Harbor at 3422 Harbor Ave. s.w.
