UPDATE: Trenton Tibbetts of West Seattle, pictured top, wins his Regional Championship Wrestling Division at 152lb. He is pictured last Saturday, Feb. 4, wrestling Jon Obernesser from Eastside Catholic in the Metros who he defeated by a 4-2 decision. One week later, Feb. 11 he beat the same wrestler in the final match at the Regionals, 11-2 and now moves on to State.

West Seattle's Trenton Tibbetts, who wrestles for O'Dea, beat the same opponent for the regionals Feb. 11 at Eastside Catholic he beat a week earlier for the Metro matches. This time he won 11-2 and moves on to State Championships.

Metro League
Chief Sealth took ninth place as a team at the Friday and Saturday meet with 59 points and West Seattle finished 11th with 44.
Nick Marek of West Seattle finished second at 106 pounds with a 7-5 loss in the championship match.
O'Dea won with a total of 249 points.
O'Dea's Trenton Tibbetts, who won his Division, is a 5th generation native West Seattlite. The West Seattle Herald featured Trenton in his winnings at last year's Metro wrestling matches here.
Seamount League/Kingco 2A
Evergreen finished third with 108 points in the combined Class 2A meet for the Seamount League and Kingco League.
Jomel Cortez of the Wolverines won the 113-pound match by pin in 1:52 and teammate Jaccavann Dung took the 120 by pin in 1:51. Glendal Correa scored an 8-6 win at 182 pounds and Myhre Eng won by pin in 2:35 at 285.
Girls wrestling
Seamount League
Evergreen finished 11th in the 3A Narrows/Seamount/SPSL 3A meet for girls with 19 points.
Wyatt Sailing of the Wolverines was first in the 145-pound competition with a win by pin in the finale.
