Founded in 2007, Siren Song is a small production winery that is focused on making a broad range of premium varietals and blends for the wine enthusiast.
It released seven wines from its 2009 vintage earlier this year. The winery sources its grapes from the best vineyards in Washington’s Columbia Valley.
The Seattle Wine Awards is Washington States’ most prestigious wine recognition program. Founded in 2006 by Executive Director Christopher Chan, the Seattle Wine Awards maintains the highest standards of integrity in the tasting and evaluation of Washington wines. Hundreds of wines are evaluated by top local and national wine professionals consisting of sommeliers, wine buyers, and critics.
The wines that earn recognition in the Seattle Wine Awards must achieve professional consensus where they earn one of the following in their respective price/wine categories: Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze Grand Awards of Excellence. These honors are of the highest recognition a winery can earn in the state of Washington.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized for our very first commercial vintage,” said Kevin Brown, winemaker at Siren Song. “Although my father used to say ‘you can’t eat prestige,’ we are delighted that the Seattle Wine Awards creates increased awareness of our wines in Washington and around the world.”
