Duff McKagan & his band Loaded release their 11th and final episode of "The Taking" Jan. 1, the film to accompany the already-released album of the same name. The album's tracks are featured in the film. Click on the below YouTube video to be prompted to access the entire film. Also starring is Loaded bassist Jeff Rouse of West Seattle. DEC. 31 UPDATE:
West Seattle cinematographer Jamie Chamberlin who filmed "The Taking" clarified that the original plan was to have 10 episodes. However, the finale is Episode #11 and will be released online tomorrow, Jan. 1.
Therefore, evocative of Nigel Tufnel's quote in the 1984 mockumentary, "This is Spinal Tap", the film "Loaded" goes to eleven. We regret the error, but are glad there are more episodes.

The West Seattle Herald has been following the progress of the stylistically edgy film and rock album, "The Taking" featuring Seattle rock star Duff McKagan and his band, Loaded. The film contains 12 original tracks, plus an iTunes bonus track, integrated in new episodes that have been released sequentially. Episode #10, the finale, was released Tuesday, Dec. 25. (The studio album containing these tracks was released April 19, 2011 through Eagle Rock Entertainment.)
Duff, as most call him, relied heavily on West Seattle talent and settings, especially in Episode #10.
"I'm a big fan of West Seattle," Duff told the West Seattle Herald in an interview for our article on "The Taking" last year.
Duff added, "Of course we filmed a few scenes at Easy Street (Records), and also West 5 and the Feedback Lounge. The first thing we filmed was Jeff and I riding our motorcycles over to the Fauntleroy ferry and going across..."
Duff is referring to Jeff Rouse, Loaded's bassist who happens to live in West Seattle. The gritty camera work was done by West Seattle videographer, Jamie Chamberlin & his Black Dahlia Films, who shot ZZ Top on tour in Europe for its Double Down Live DVD. His pal, Billy Gibbons, appears in "The Taking" at West 5, served a drink by West Seattle model and musician, Darci Carlson, who has an alternative rock band the "Dolly Rottens". Carlson worked with Gibbons and Chamberlin on the "backline screen content" concert-goers see projected behind ZZ Top as the band performs live.
"The Taking" also features Gunn and the Damage Done band member Joe Dredd of White Center, who portrays a villain.
