Chongqing-Nankai girls basketball team faces Chief Sealth High School Jan 12

This Saturday, January 12, the girls team of Chief Sealth High School will play a benefit basketball game against a team from a road team, that's been on a long road. They're from Chongqing-Nankai School in China. Chongqing is a Seattle Sister City and where the Seattle Chinese Garden drew its inspiration and artisans and craftsmen from during its construction. The schools are sister schools too.
This is the first sports exchange in the 10-year sister school relationship. Mayor McGinn shot hoops with the Nankai team when he led the Seattle delegation to Chongqing in March 2012. He will attend the pre-game program at 6:30 pm.
The game is Saturday, January 12
6:30 pm – Pregame Program
7:00 pm – Tip-off
Half-time Lion Dance
Tickets are cash-only at the door, with proceeds supporting the CSIHS girl’s basketball program and the Seattle-Chongqing student exchange program.
Doors and concessions open at 6 pm.
Tickets: $7 adult, $5 student
Children age 6 and younger, with an adult, are free.
Chief Sealth High School is located at 2600 SW Thistle Street.
