Italian male super model Fabio Lanzoni paid a visit to West Seattle on Jan. 17 to make an appearance at Metropolitan Market in the Admiral District. His visit was to promote "Healthy Planet Nutrition" a group of products that include Whey Protein, Colostrum, and Glutamine.

According to that website, " Healthy Planet Vitamins is a combination of the purest whey protein, purest glutamine, and the purest colostrum products. Fabio Lanzoni better known as simply (Fabio) is the president and founder of Healthy Planet Vitamins and has been a strong advocate of the use of proteins for several years. Fabio started Healthy Planet Vitamins in order to formulate a product using only the purest forms of proteins available today."

Fabio told the West Seattle Herald that health has been his life-long passion.

"The Metropolitan Market is a great fit for my products, and people here in Seattle are interested in what they eat," said Fabio with a slight Italian accent.

"I always was into nutrition through my entire life," he said. "I always believe you are what you eat, so it's very important to put the best food in your body. Why? God gave you only one body. The body you were born with is the body you are going to die with. Unfortunately, we live in a very consumer-oriented society so we think that every five years we must change our car, every couple of years the computer, every year our phone. But you're stuck with your body for the rest of your life.

"You have to keep your body hydrated and give your body the highest quality protein in Mother Nature," he emphasized. "Number one is whey, biological, active, whey. Second best is egg whites. Everything else comes down on the list. You want healthier hair, skin, bones, you want the highest quality protein. Many people try to save a nickel, a penny, on food, and end up spending down the road hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills, and that's not smart."

You can still meet Fabio and hear his pitch for his products. He will be at the Metropolitan Market until 7:00 p.m. tonight.

This wasn't his only Seattle stop. He will be in town through Jan. 20 making appearances around Seattle and doing a television interview (not specified as yet).
