A stabbing victim was taken away by emergency medical people at the Barton Square Apartments near White Center on Saturday. He suffered multiple life threatening stab wounds.
A 51 year old white male was stabbed six times at the Barton Place Apartments at 1725 SW Barton on Saturday just after 11am. His injuries were said to be life threatening.
His alleged assailant, also a white male was apprehended about a block away by Seattle Police after being identified by neighbors and was taken to be interrogated.
The weapon was recovered according to police.
The victim was taken to Harborview Hospital.
UPDATE THIS AFTERNOON BY SEATTLE POLICE:
The 51-year-old male victim called 911 reporting that he had been stabbed several times by a known male. The first officer arrived in the 1700 Block of SW Barton Street within two minutes of the call being dispatched. The officer obtained a description of the suspect and the direction he had fled from the victim and additional witnesses. The officer began an area search and located the suspect. The 48-year-old male suspect was taken into custody without incident after he was positively identified by witnesses.
The suspect and the victim know each other. The victim was transported to Harborview with life-threatening injuries. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault. Officers did recover the folding knife used in the assault. Detectives will be handling the follow up investigation.
