UPDATE 2: Not guilty plea entered in fatal West Seattle crash

Update 2 for Aug. 15
The man charged with vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment in a fatal July 27 collision in West Seattle pleaded not guilty on Aug. 14, according to the King County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors allege William Kelly Edmon,43, drove though a red light on Delridge Way, striking a Honda CRV entering the intersection at S.W. Kenyon St. with the right-a-way. The collision caused Edmon’s truck to flip, ejecting 43-year-old Michael Fisher from the bed of his pick-up. Fisher died from injuries sustained in the crash. Edmon is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
A case setting hearing is scheduled for August 29 at the King County Courthouse, and Edmon is in jail with a $1 million bail, according to prosecutors.

Vehicular manslaughter charged in fatal West Seattle crash
A 43-year-old Seattle man is facing vehicular manslaughter and reckless endangerment charges in a fatal West Seattle crash that occurred on Delridge Way S.W. on July 27.
King County Prosecutors allege William Kelly Edmon drove though a red light on Delridge Way, striking a Honda CRV entering the intersection at S.W. Kenyon St. with the right-a-way. The collision caused Edmon’s truck to flip, ejecting 43-year-old Michael Fisher from the bed of his pick-up. Fisher died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Charging documents in the case state a Seattle Police drug recognition expert “made several observations that (Edmon) was impaired from drugs and/or alcohol.” He allegedly told police he had consumed alcohol earlier in the day, but had not had any marijuana since the day before. A blood draw was taken and prosecutors are awaiting results from the state toxicology lab.
Edmon’s past criminal history shows his privileges to drive were suspended at the time of the crash. He has a lengthy history of convictions, including multiple DUIs, first degree negligent driving, reckless driving and hit-and-run, according to charging documents.
Edmon’s bail is set at $1 million and his arraignment on charges is set for August 14, 8:30 a.m., at the King County Courthouse. Prosecutors deemed him “a grave danger to the community and a flight risk.”
According to police, the driver of the Honda CRV suffered a soft tissue injury and Edmon’s passenger in the cab of the truck suffered “relatively minor head injuries.” Edmon's suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident.
Update for July 30
According to the King County Prosecutor's Office, the driver of a Chevy pickup truck involved in a fatal crash in West Seattle on July 27 had his bail set at $1 million on July 30.
The 43-year-old Seattle man is accused of allegedly driving under the influence and causing a wreck with a Honda CRV that killed a passenger riding in the back of his truck after it rolled, ejecting the passenger.
He is scheduled to appear in court again on July 31, the deadline for prosecutor's to file charges in the case.

Seattle Police Department report that a man, riding in the bed of a pickup last night shortly after 9pm on Delridge Way was killed when he was ejected following a collision and rollover.

At approximately 9:11 p.m. officers responded to a 911 report of a two vehicle rollover collision in the 7900 block of Delridge Way SW. Preliminary investigation indicates that a Honda CRV was eastbound on SW Kenyon Street and was executing a left turn onto northbound Delridge Way SW when it was struck by a southbound Chevy pickup truck which subsequently overturned. An adult male who was riding in the bed of the pickup truck was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by fire department medics.
The events leading up to the collision remain under active investigation.
Officers evaluated the driver of the Honda, a male in his 50′s, for signs of impairment due to alcohol and/or drugs. No impairment was detected. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy truck, an adult male, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The front seat passenger of the Chevy truck, an adult male, was treated at the scene by fire department medics and released.
Officers evaluated the driver of the Chevy for signs of impairment. Indications of alcohol consumption were detected and he was placed under arrest and processed for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Upon completion of his evaluations and treatment he will be booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Vehicular Homicide.
No citations will be issued at the scene, which is standard procedure in serious traffic collisions involving extensive follow up investigation and collision reconstruction.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
