Serial exposer at work?
Seattle Police are investigating the possibility of a serial exposer making it a habit of flashing West Seattle elementary school students. The first incident occurred on Sept. 9 as three girls were out enjoying recess at Holy Rosary School on 42nd Ave. S.W. when a man pulled up in a white SUV and revealed he was not wearing any pants or underwear while sitting in the driver’s seat. Nine days later similar incidents occurred at both Holy Rosary and Westside School (34th Ave. S.W.). At Rosary three girls reported a man appeared to be photographing them with his phone. The door on his vehicle opened and, once again, it was revealed he was naked from the waist down. A 7-year-old girl at Westside witnessed the same thing later that day. So far, the children have not been approached. Police are investigating the possibility a single man is behind the incidents. Meanwhile, principals at both schools are encouraging parents to talk with their children about the dangers of approaching strangers. Police said suspect descriptions are not entirely clear due to the young age of witnesses, but they believe they are looking for a white male in his 30s or 40s with short, dark hair, a scruffy beard, and a normal to slender build.
