The Academy Classes
This summer ArtsWest will be offering two Academy classes, for those children 8-12 years old, who are serious about spending time with like-minded students to learn about the world of theatre. These highly structured programs will be taught by professional Teaching Artists and will provide daily instruction and rehearsals towards a one hour presentation for friends and family on the final day of class. The first Academy will be offered June 23-July 3 and will focus on Acting, while the second Academy will be offered July 7-18 with a focus on Musical Theatre. *no audition required
The Conservatory
In a brand new configuration for ArtsWest, we have combined our past Apprenticeship with our Conservatory level. This newly vamped program will provide teens with an intensive summer, practicing and improving their skills in acting, dance and music, while also rehearsing a full Broadway Musical. The 2014 Theatre Conservatory will present Guys and Dolls directed by renowned actress Kate Jaeger and choreographed with The 5th Avenue Theatre and Village Theatre actress Taryn Darr. *participation is by audition
