It was close, but the Shorewood Christian boys basketball team from West Seattle just missed getting into the Class 1B state championship game.
The Lions lost to Colton by a 61-58 score in the state semifinals Friday, dropping them into the game for third and fifth place instead.
Shorewood Christian will play Neah Bay in an 11:15 a.m. Saturday game at the Spokane Arena.
The Lions had opened the tournament with a 54-48 quarterfinal victory over Three Rivers Christian on Thursday.
