Shorewood Christian topples Three Rivers in state semi-finals

Shorewood Christian of West Seattle started off right at the Class 1B state boys basketball tournament Thursday.
The Lions roared out to a 16-6 lead by the end of the first quarter en route to a 54-48 quarterfinal win over Three Rivers Christian.
Shorewood Christian advances into the Friday state semifinals, playing Colton in a 5:30 p.m. game.
The winner advances to the 7 p.m. Saturday championship game at the Spokane Arena and the loser plays in the 11:15 a.m. game for third place.
Jordan King led the way for the Lions with 17 points against Three Rivers Christian on Thursday and also hauled down seven rebounds.
Micah Lorenz of the Lions was next with 12 points and six rebounds.
Domingo delivered 11 points for Shorewood Christian as Fevaleaki added eight, Young four and Akers two.
Eric Powell poured in 12 points to pace Three Rivers Christian.
