The Seahawks jumped on Garfield early and led the game 3-1 until the top of the sixth inning when the Bulldogs put together three runs on a combination of timely hitting and Seahawk errors to go ahead 4-3. Chief Sealth tied the game in the bottom of the sixth and the score remained tied 4-4 until the top of the ninth inning when once again timely hitting and Seahawk mistakes led to six Bulldog runs.
The Seahawks scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth but it wasn’t enough to overcome the hole they were in and Chief Sealth went down 10-6.
The bright spot for the Seahawks was starting pitcher Blaine Steele who pitched a hearty 7 innings and kept Sealth in the game.
