The Seattle Fire Department quickly responded to a house fire in the 5600 block of 49th Ave S.W. on April 11. The call into 911 came in around 11:45 PM. The fire was contained to an upper deck of the two story house which has crept up into the attic.
A neighbor who was on her way home noticed a orange glow near the top corner of the home and thought it was really odd and then noticed flames so she quickly banged on the front door and alerted the family to get out. All occupants made it out safely.
