Tue, 09/02/2014
The King County Housing Authority recently completed the sale of the final 54 homeownership lots at the award-winning Seola Gardens in White Center. The land purchase by a private developer marks the final phase of KCHA’s commitment to rebuild the former public housing complex – previously called Park Lake Homes II- into a vibrant mixed-income, master-planned community.
The lots were purchased by Richmond American Homes, who also developed the first phase of single-family homes at SG.
Construction on the second phase of homes will begin in the first quarter of 2015. The homes will range in size from 1,800 to 2,500 square feet and will be priced in the mid- to uppers $300,000s.
Forty-eight of the 54 homes in the first phase have already been sold; the remaining six are under contract.
