WOODINVILLE--A second loss in as many games spelled the end of the line for West Seattle at the Majors age 11-12 baseball all-stars state tournament Sunday.
The Westsiders took a 10-3 loss to Stilly Valley at the Northshore Athletic Fields in Woodinville on the heels of a 6-1 loss to host Northwest on Saturday.
Northwest went on to pound Gig Harbor American, 11-1, to advance into a Tuesday winners bracket semifinal.
West Seattle came into the tournament as the District 7 champions after winning a four-team tournament.
Last year it hosted the state tournament at the Bar S complex and fared well but lost to Pacific -- the eventual Western Regional champion and a World Series participant -- to be eliminated.
The Westsiders were managed by Stan Debiec, who was assisted by coaches Brian Pare and Steve Joseph.
Players were Nat Ardales, Spencer Burgess, Diego Contratto, Max Debiec, JP Dufour, Chase Eldredge, Dylan Mastroianni, Reece McAllister, Jasper Mors, Gabe Palmer, Sam Pare, Nate Rasmussen and Jaden Sadis.
The West Seattle president is Michael Grienauer.
