Break-in at storage unit on SW Avalon Way

A manager of a storage unit facility located on the 2900 block of SW Avalon Way called officers around noon on Friday, Feb. 24 to report a burglary. He explained that between 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 and 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, someone opened the swinging door to a unit, bending the storage bolt and allowing entry to the space. The victim visited the facility and said nothing was missing from the storage unit. Officers were not able to find fingerprints or other evidence.

Burglary at pharmacy

At 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, officers were dispatched to a pharmacy located on the 5200 block of California Ave SW to investigate a burglary. The store manager said that two male teens entered the store and took two bottles of an unknown substance from behind the counter before running away on foot westbound on Dawson St. The suspects did not hurt anyone, have a weapon or say anything to witnesses. A K9 unit searched the area for suspects but was unable to locate them.

Attempted burglary in garage on 9 Ave SW

A woman residing on the 8400 block of 9 Ave SW called police around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 to report a burglary that occurred overnight. She showed officers her detached garage. There was a footprint on the main door – and officers believe someone tried to kick it in. They also thought that the garage door looked like someone had tried to drive into it. The woman’s car was damaged where the door hit it. She did not believe that anything was stolen.

Violence on Erskine Way SW

Officers received a call reporting a fight at 4800 Erskine Way SW around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21. When they found the victim, he was sitting in the parking lot, bleeding from a cut on his face and covered in blood on his face and shirt. He said he did not know who assaulted him or what the suspect looked like. He did not want to give any information. A witness was finishing work at 7-11 and heard a commotion in the parking lot. When the witness looked outside, he saw the suspect kicking the victim before running away southbound on California Ave SW. The Seattle Fire Department arrived and told the victim that he needed to go to the hospital, but he did not want to go. He did allow the fire fighters to bandage his wound. They discovered a stab wound is in right armpit – and transported him to the hospital. Officers searched the area for the victim but were unable to find him.
