Boat launch should remain

I would like to agree with the letter from Jim Clark (1/23/08) and I'm sure many others in town agree.

I have lived in this area for 35 years and dislike many of the changes of our nice little town.

I do not own a boat and do not plan to in the future. However, I do enjoy seeing people able to launch boats easily in Des Moines.

This is a boating area and should continue to be known as such.

Should Burien look like a Police State?

I think we all want Burien to look better and bring in more business and TAX REVENUES.

How can we do that? Everyone wants to go to nice clean places that we feel good, safe and prosperous in. When we do we spend money, and lots of it.

To create that we need to remove the "crime element." How do we do that? Well, just look where the government is offering free housing, drugs, abortions and the variety of free services we give in rewarding people for not working.
