UPDATE: Power out for nearly 3000 customers in Admiral neighborhood now mostly restored

City Light said that an equipment failure that cut the power in the Admiral Neighborhood has been addressed though 99 customers still await full power restoration. The nearly 3000 previously out had the power back sooner than expected shortly after 9am.

A power outage knocked out electricity for nearly 3000 City Light customers at 8:42am on Tuesday. The immediate cause was unknown but under investigation. Areas affected extend east to Harbor Ave SW up to across 44th SW to the west. and south to SW Genesee Street. Restoration is expected sometime after noon.

Lynn Dennis resigns as CEO of the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce

The West Seattle Chamber of Commerce announced today that Lynn Dennis has officially resigned from her nearly 6 years as the CEO of the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce effective at the end of the year.
Lynn has been the CEO of the Chamber since January 2013 and in that time has helped take the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce to a place amongst the most recognized chambers in the Pacific Northwest. Under Lynn’s leadership the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce has grown its membership, increased member participation in its programs, built numerous partnerships and has placed the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce on a path for future growth and success.
