Kenyon Hall will host three events in December: a student performance, a cabaret show, and a live radio play. Here is a brief synopsis of each:

Kenyon Hall Music School

●Date and Time: Thursday, December 5, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Show starts at 6:30 pm.

●Description: This event is a celebration of Kenyon Hall's music students and their accomplishments. It is free and open to all ages. The event will feature a special performance by Smokey Brights.

Kenyon Hall Cabaret

●Date and Time: Saturday, December 7, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Show starts at 6:30 pm.

●Description: This cabaret is a night of dance, song, and games, with opportunities to connect with the community. The show aims to bring the drag experience to the Kenyon Hall neighborhood and introduce attendees to local drag artists.

Join SWSHS and Historic Resource Consultant David Peterson for a talk on West Seattle’s Cettolin House (4022 32nd SW), a newly designated Seattle Landmark (2023) that was recently in the path of the West Seattle light rail extension.

The Seattle Seahawks are set to bring their game-day energy to Highline Memorial Field in Burien on Thursday, December 5th, for the highly anticipated Girls Flag Football Jamboree. This event marks a celebration of the burgeoning sport of girls' flag football and promises a day filled with excitement, activities, and special appearances by Seahawks players, legends, and the beloved Seahawks Dancers, Blitz, Boom, and Blue Thunder.

Event Schedule

• 4:00 PM: The festivities will kick off with a variety of Seahawks-themed activities, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

• 5:00 PM: The first game of the jamboree will commence, featuring high school teams from Highline High School, Mount Rainier High School, and a co-op team from Evergreen & Tyee high schools, along with Auburn Riverside High School as the fourth contender.

Join Seattle Fire at our annual Toys for Tots toy drive! We are collecting toys, games, books and other gifts as part of the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots drive. Together, we have been helping bring holiday joy to families in need for many years, and we’re looking forward to see you all at this year’s toy drive!

Please bring new, unwrapped gift items on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, to any of these six Seattle fire stations between 1 and 3 p.m.:

Queen Anne – Fire Station 8 (110 Lee St.)

Ballard – Fire Station 18 (1521 NW Market St.)

Greenwood – Fire Station 21 (7304 Greenwood Ave. N.)

West Seattle – Fire Station 29 (2130 Ferry Ave. SW)

Hawthorne Hills – Fire Station 38 (4004 NE 55th St.)

Our Secret Garden  at 5020 California Ave SW is opening a second location at Pacific Place mall December 8th, taking over a former Lululemon space. "It's a six month pop up at first," explained owner Alonzo Fernandez. The grand opening will coincide with a ten-day art exhibition called Fleur De Villes featuring mannequin displays, and much more. It's traveling exhibition that does shows all over North America The new shop will offer flowers, plants, and gifts. Fernandez will manage both locations, alongside additional staff, and they are continuing to provide wedding and party services. 

Fernandez also said they are considering a location in Palm Springs, Calfiforna.
