Fall tryouts

Tryouts for football get underway Wednesday, Aug. 16 at high schools throughout the state of Washington, while the tryouts for all other fall sports begin Monday, Aug. 21.

Mariners

Seattle is in Oakland for a 12:37 p.m. game against the A's on Wednesday before coming home for a four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels at 7:10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at 6:10 p.m. Saturday and at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

The Baltimore Orioles come to Safeco Field to play the Mariners at 7:10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

All Mariners games are carried on ROOT Sports cable television.

Seahawks

Seattle kicks off its preseason with a 5 p.m. visit to the now Los Angeles Chargers at their temporary stadium in Carson, Calif. on Sunday.

The action can be seen live on the NFL network.

Sounders

Seattle hosts Kansas City for a 1 p.m. match at CenturyLink Field on Saturday that will be shown live on JOEtv.

Storm

Seattle plays a 7 p.m. game at Phoenix on Saturday.

Reign

Seattle's women's soccer team will be at Seattle Memorial Stadium playing North Carolina at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Rainiers

The Nashville Sounds are in Tacoma for 7:05 p.m. Pacific Coast League baseball games Wednesday and Thursday, before Federal Way native Hank Conger and the Reno Aces come to Cheney Stadium for games at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1:35 p.m. Sunday and 7:05 p.m. Monday.

The Rainiers visit Salt Lake City at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday.

AquaSox

Everett is at home playing the Spokane Indians at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday and 11:05 a.m. Thursday at Everett Memorial Stadium before going to Boise, Idaho to play the Hawks Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Emerald Downs

Auburn's horse racing oval is open for action at 6:30 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
