The wins keep coming for the No. 1-ranked West Seattle girls basketball team.
The Wildcats scored a 58-48 victory over the Garfield Bulldogs on Friday, running their Metro League record to 7-0.
Ballard’s Beavers also posted a Metro League victory Friday, beating Bainbridge by a 49-33 score, while the Chief Sealth girls fell to Blanchet by a 67-47 score.
Mount Rainier scored a 54-37 victory over Kent-Meridian and Kennedy Catholic edged Kentwood, 43-42, in the North Puget Sound League, while Foster fell to Fife, 52-26, in the South Puget Sound League.
Other SPSL scores had River Ridge topping Tyee, 64-28, and White River routing Evergreen, 67-10, as Highline took a 71-16 loss to Renton.
In the Class B SeaTac League it was Seattle Lutheran posting a 41-12 victory over Evergreen Lutheran on Saturday.
In Saturday boys action Ballard went to battle against O’Dea and took a 79-46 loss, although the Beavers were victorious the night before by a 49-48 score over Bainbridge.
Chief Sealth was a 52-50 winner over Blanchet on Friday as West Seattle took a 64-58 loss to Garfield.
Mount Rainier emerged as a 62-57 winner over Kent-Meridian in Friday action and Kennedy Catholic lost to Kentwood, 73-55.
River Ridge outgunned Tyee by a 90-79 score that night and Renton edged Highline, 66-61.
Foster fell to Fife, 63-39, and Evergreen was swept away by White River, 76-35.
Seattle Lutheran was a 54-29 winner over Evergreen Lutheran on Saturday.
