Curious Kidstuff is a neighborhood treasure

Granny Annie (a.k.a. Ann Walker) owns Curious Kidstuff, the quintessential West Seattle 21 year-old toy store, the ultimate toy box that warms your heart. When asked what’s kept her doors open so long? “Guts, happy children and house payments,” she said with a laugh.

Ann sentimentally added, “and to provide children what every child deserves, a place where they can feel safe, comfortable and can explore,” she said amidst a busy, bountiful and whimsical toy store that by the way, beautifully giftwraps with pleasure.

Her inspiration? A childhood neighborhood dime store named Roses where she bought penny candies from sweet owners Harry and Rose. And a kind mother, aunt and grandfather whom, by example passed down values Ann heartedly lives by.

“I’ve always felt connected with children and I think that’s the heart of it.  I feel strongly about the gift a neighborhood toy store brings,” she said.
