Family of Mobarak Adam seeking help to hire a private investigator

The family of Mobarak Adam, the 15-year-old who was shot and killed at Southwest Community Center in West Seattle back in January, is still desperate for answers. Leyla Adam, the teen's older sister, started a GoFundMe asking for help hiring a private investigator. Leyla says red tape is getting in the way and she can't keep waiting.

"A lot of time has passed since my brother's murder, and yet justice has yet to be served despite law enforcement knowing who was involved; due to a new law that protects the “witnesses” from speaking," Leyla wrote on GoFundMe. "Additionally, with the cameras at the community center having not been functioning for the last 5yrs, allegedly, the investigation has been slowed."

Leyla started a GoFundMe hoping the community can help her family get the closure they deserve. Here is the link to her fundraiser:

Unlocking Body Intelligence: How mindful movement enhances wellbeing

By Beth Dayo

When was the last time you truly listened to your body's whispers? Chances are, it's been drowned out by the hustle and bustle of our mind-dominated lives. We've grown accustomed to silencing those small cries until they escalate into shouts we can no longer ignore. This disconnect takes a toll on both our mental and physical well-being. However, there's a solution: building your body intelligence through mindful movement.

Mindful movement is the essential tool for reconnecting with your body. It serves as the initial step towards establishing a positive feedback loop. Through mindful movement, you become more attuned to your bodily sensations, recognize emotional cues linked to common conflicts, and begin developing the wisdom and tools necessary to break free from patterns that have held you back.
