Tha annual Westside Awards Breakfast on May 22 sponsored by the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce brought together the best of the community to be recognized for all they do.

The honorees are:

Last February it appeared that the much loved Mission Cantina was gone. But it has proven to be not just resilient but buoyed by new energy and new focus.

The White Center Community Hub, a $32 million community center in planning since 2017 broke ground at Dick Thurnau Park on May 18. 

The groundbreaking of the White Center Community HUB is taking place this Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Hicks Lake, Dick Thurnau Park's Bicycle Playground, 11050 10th Ave SW.
