Valentina V. Bostick 7/17/1925 – 11/13/2017

On November 13, 2017 our beloved mom, Valentina Violet Rojnovsky, Luke, Bostick soared in her true, real fashion, leaving high winds blowing and a message for her two daughters, Sherry Luke & Marcia Schnaubelt with the most majestic of owls, the Great Horned Owl. 

Mom was the daughter of Eugene & Dorothy Rojnovsky and had one sibling, Boris. Mom loved Washington State and began her journey of life in the Highline District very close to where her life journey came to an end.

Mary Ann Southworth 10/22/1928 – 2/2/2018

Mary Ann Southworth of Shelton, WA, formerly of Seattle, WA, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2018 at the age of 89.  She was born in Centralia, WA on October 22, 1928 and grew up in Rainier, WA.  Beloved wife of Howard for 45 years; dear mother of Steve (Becky), Jeff (Denice), Marti (Steve), Jon (Belinda) and Molly (Mark).  She was a loving Grandmother to Mark, James (Diane), Michael, Luke (Sophie), Alice (Jason), Brandi (Robert), Joanna, Jennifer; Great Grandmother to Malea, Elijah, Caleb and Ella, and devoted sister to Darlene (Lars), brother Manley (Janet), brother Morrie (Annie),

Alan Bestor Phillips 8/9/1919 - 2/4/2018

Al was preceded in death by Ilmi Salmi, his beloved wife of 68 years. Loving father of Jeanne Marie Anglin (Don) and Susan Phillips Hamm (Bob); grandfather of four grandchildren: Matt (Gwyn), Mark (Cherie), Todd (Amber), Karen (Brad); great grandfather to Tyler (Korrin), Kellen, and Duke; great-great grandfather to Roslyn and Walter; and his “second family” Bob and Judy, neighbors for 55 years. He was born in Seattle on August 9, 1919. He joined the WA National Guard in 1936 while attending Franklin High School and served in the US Army 41st Infantry Division in the Pacific during WWII.

Barbara Ann Eggebraten 1934 ~ 2018

Barbara Ann Eggebraten (Shroeder) passed peacefully on January 7, 2018.  Barbara was born in Buffalo, NY on October 15, 1934 to Alice Richardson Olmsted and Daniel Shroeder.

Barbara lived in West Seattle for almost 80 years. She graduated from Alki, Madison and WSHS (’52).  After graduation, she worked in the medical field.  She married Roger Eggebraten in 1961 and they recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

William (Bill) Carpenter

William (Bill) Carpenter passed away December 20, 2017 at the age of 87.  Bill was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Mary and Gordan Carpenter and was one of 10 children.  Bill attended Emmetsburg High School and Junior College and then proudly joined the US Navy and served in Pearl Harbor during the Korean Conflict from 1951 – 1955.

In 1952 Bill met and later married his soulmate for life, Alice Joy (Iden) Carpenter and together they

raised their family in Seattle.

Marianne Picinich

Our loving Mother, Grandma and GG passed away on November 18, 2017 to be with the Lord.  She was born on November 9, 1922 in Seattle, WA, the 3rd child of Anthony and Mary Picinich.  She grew up in the Riverside neighborhood of West Seattle.  After her children were grown, she worked for Russell Stover and Wrigley.  Marianne enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, golf and poker nights with family and friends.  She also liked to attend various Yugoslavian gatherings and social events.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

 

William Michael Maas 1939~2017

June 3, 1939 - October 29, 2017

        William ("Bill" "Steelhead Willie" "Sweet William") Maas passed away at the age of 78 on October 29, 2017.   Bill was born in Coos Bay, Oregon but lived most of his life in Renton.  Bill was a very active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  He was a member of the Rogues Car Club and the 21 Club.

Terrence McKinley McCosh 1940 ~ 2017

Terrence McKinley (Gifford) McCosh, 77, died October 15, 2017 in Seattle, WA. Terrence (Terry) was born in Grand Forks, ND to George and Frances (Skramstad) Gifford on September 18, 1940. Terry was raised by his mother and step-father, Edwin McCosh, in Grand Forks. Terry graduated from the University of North Dakota and served two years in the Army before moving to Seattle, WA. Terry was a technical-minded and detail-oriented person with an endless desire to learn.
