Beverley Irene Burtch

Beverley Irene Burtch was born in Butte, Montana to Russell and Sophie Morrison on June 29, 1924. She died on January 16, 2008 in Seattle. Beverley was the beloved wife of 49 years of Charles Burtch, sister of Margaret Breen (of Butte, Mont.) and mother of Deeann Puffert and husband Rich (of Seattle), and Gary Burtch and wife Heather (of Pittsburgh, Pa.). She took great joy in her four grandchildren Grace and Laurel Puffert, and Kelly and Luke Burtch. Beverley loved community service, especially when it involved children and youth.

Clare V. Harris

Clare V. Harris, 62, died at home peacefully, on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008. Clare was a devoted and loving wife to husband Ken. Good Daughter to Earl and Florence Miner (Gresham, Ore.). Witty big sister to George, Earl (Bub) and John, also of Gresham. Always loving mother to James Asher (Breezy Point, Minn.) and Vickie Asher (Des Moines). Perfect mother-in-law to Carrie, and most devoted grandmother to Lauren Jo, and new baby grandson Austin James. Caring Aunt to Christine, John, Jessica, Jeffrey, Shelby, Brittany, Debbie, Chris and Mark.

Laura May CaswelL

Laura May Caswell, 89, died peacefully Wednesday January 9, 2008, in Burien.

Laura was beloved by her family and friends who will miss her very much. She was born December 9, 1918, in Port Orchard. She lived in the Burien area for most of her life until 1993 when she moved to Des Moines. She worked at Blais of Des Moines Marine for over 30 years. Laura volunteered her services for the Children's Hospital Guild Association sewing Christmas stockings for the Christmas bazaar held in Des Moines since 1996.

Ronald Kay Kenny

Ronald Kay Kenny passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving children on January 6, 2008. He was born to Edward and Mildred Kenny on March 15, 1935. He was a lifetime resident of West Seattle, graduated from West Seattle High School and was an active member of the Masons and Shriners.

Robert Hitchman, M.D.

At age 84, Dad went to be with his Lord on January 4 with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife, Edith, and children Betsy (Ritchie), Grace, Ruth (Fenn), Bill, Joan (Wrigley) and fourteen grandchildren.

He served as a lieutenant in the Navy and opened a medical practice in Des Moines in 1950 (Des Moines Medical Offices). Dad's love of the Lord was shown through his service at Des Moines Gospel Chapel and Lakeside Bible Camp.

Services were held on January 12.

Vickie Lynn McBride Newton

Vickie Lynn McBride Newton passed on to a better place surrounded by loved ones on January 11, 2008.

She will be loved dearly, missed much and remembered fondly by her husband, Glenn, children Jeremy and Nicolle, mother Helen, father Reid, sister Karen, brother Mike and every other person whose life she touched.

A memorial service will be held at Glendale Evangelical Lutheran Church on January 19, time to be determined. The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for their care, kindness and generosity.

Norman Neil Hannon

Dear Dad, we were not ready for your departure January 6, 2008, but we were thankful to be with you in the end. We will so miss your creativity, your energy, and your support in our needs. Your loving smile will be missed by all. Dad was born August 17, 1937 in Seattle, WA and graduated from Queen Anne High School. He worked as a General Contractor most of his life. Dad is survived by his wife Donna Hannon, children Julie Dean, Tracy Gessner, Brian Hannon, and Garrett Hannon, sister Janet Mutter, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Julianne Louise Yamamoto

6/21/52 - 12/9/07

Julianne was born on June 21, 1952 in Seattle where she also had made her home for the last 55 years. Daughter of Julianne and the late William Savard. She is survived by three children Andrea Doerner, Erick Otto and Jessica Otto, her sister Denise Ludington, brother Greg Savard, five grand children, one great grand daughter and many nieces and nephews all of which reside in Seattle. Julianne was an photography enthusiast and an avid bowler at Roxbury Lanes in White Center.

Her Memorial will be held Saturday, Jan.

Robert Hale Clark

Robert Hale Clark, retired Seattle Firefighter, died Monday, January 7, 2008 in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his wife Charlotte.

Born on July 6, 1928, Bob was a lifelong West Seattle resident graduating from West Seattle High School in 1946, served in the Coast Guard and joined the Seattle Fire Department in 1958. During his service with the Seattle Fire Department, he presented the S.A.F.E.

Anna Mae Eernisse

Mrs. Anna Mae Eernisse went to be with her Lord on December 23rd. Born October 4, 1926, to Carl & Lillian Larson, Anne was a proud Queen Anne HS Grizzly who worked summers bucking rivets on B-17s during WWII. While earning a BS degree at the UW, she met her husband of 58 years, James Eernisse. The couple settled in Des Moines in 1954 and helped found Des Moines Gospel Chapel in Des Moines and Lakeside Bible Camp on Whidbey Island.

Anne's five children, Marti (Morrell), David, Douglas, Mindy (Sauerlender), and Daniel, thrilled her with 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
