Escalating costs mean the West Seattle Summerfest is hoping to get some help to make the event successful, but the flip side is that donations will provide a genuine and visible benefit to those attending.

Housing Diversity Corporation and STS Construction Services held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 8 for a new eight-story mixed-use development near the future California Ave SW Light Rail station in West Seattle.

The West Seattle Junction Association is hosting Rock Walk, a fundraiser to enhance the music programming at Summer Fest 2025.

The event will take place Friday, April 11th, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.

The Alki Playfield area is slated for improvements, focusing on enhancing play and gathering spaces.

Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is planning to build at least 10 blocks of new sidewalk and neighborhood walkways in North Delridge by 2029.

The West Seattle Junction Association (WSJA) shared on Thursday that Phase One of the additional tree lighting is now complete. The new lights add to those first put up via a grant in 2022. 

Inner Alchemy Treasures and Transformations celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 4312 SW Oregon Street with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by owner Maari Falsetto.
